This is a famous Soviet park in Germany.
It is covers an enormous space honoring the Soviet's victory during WWII and is nothing more than a grandiose war memorial.
It has a slight modernist twist to it but still retains the formalist Soviet design aesthetic of the period.
It is dotted with various Communist symbols such as the hammer and sickle and different icons such as Lenin.
The clean formal lines and open light it gets during the day time make it the perfect location for an up coming shoot I have planned.
Let's just hope on the day of the shoot there aren't bus loads of Russian tourists like there were today when I went scouting this place.
